12/10/05 - Transatlantic and Euroline bring in the largest ever consignment of woodpulp to Aberdeen

The 13525 GT m/v Ada Gorthon called Aberdeen under Euroline's agency on the 12th October 2005 to bring in the largest ever consignment of woodpulp shipped-in to Aberdeen to date.

The shipment of just over 9600 metric tonnes came from the port of Wilmington in North Carolina, USA and was consigned to the International Paper Mill in Inverurie.

The ship's operators have a long and successful working partnership with Euroline and this call into port was the latest in a long sequence of calls from Wilmington.

This vessel has called into Aberdeen many times in the past but the tonnage shipped-in was significantly higher than previous shipments.
